M1850 Field Officer’s Sword – Civil War Replica

A symbol of command from an age when swords were as much a part of the uniform as epaulettes. Here is what makes it stand out:

A 31 3/4-inch carbon steel blade.
A solid brass guard polished to a brilliant shine.
A wire-wrapped grip for comfort and control.
37 1/4 inches long overall.

Substantial and Convincing Had reservations about how this sword would carry, but on arrival I was delighted. The steel has proper heft yet settles beautifully in the hand, robust and convincing, precisely what you'd expect from a genuine military sword. Workmanship on the fittings is lovely too.

Study looks the part now The Civil War M1850 Field Officers Military Sword has transformed the wall of my study. The detailing and finish are superb, and mounted properly it has the look of a genuine collector's item rather than a reproduction. Very pleased with it.
