About This Set
The first foe to fall to Glamdring in Gandalf’s hands was the Great Goblin. Orcs called the sword “Beater” and fled the moment they recognised it. Gandalf wielded it again at the Battle of Five Armies and carried it with the Fellowship in T.A. 3018, using it in the fight in the Chamber of Mazarbul and in his confrontation with the Balrog. Whether he used it on the Endless Stair and Durin’s Tower during his final battle with the Balrog remains uncertain.
The set also includes the Staff of Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, closely matching the one seen on screen. Gandalf was once known as Gandalf the Grey, and after his battle with the Balrog he returns as Gandalf the White.
