About Aragorn’s Ranger Sword
This is the sword wielded by Strider, a warrior of remarkable skill and courage who helps others without ever asking for anything in return. He guides the hobbits away from the Nazgûl and safely on to Rivendell – which is why they know the future king simply as Strider. He then joins the Fellowship on its quest to destroy the Ring that the free peoples so fear, and it is revealed that he is the heir of Isildur, who defeated the Dark Lord Sauron long ago.
Alongside Gimli and Legolas he cuts down countless of Sauron’s warriors, preferring to fight without heavy armour or a helm so he can move quickly. In battle after battle he relies on this Ranger sword and its companion knife, both of which have become symbols of the films. With these blades in hand, Strider is very hard to beat.
