About Renji Abarai

Renji Abarai is a major character in Tite Kubo’s Bleach. He starts out as an opponent of Ichigo Kurosaki, defeating him at first before eventually joining forces with him. After taking part in the mission to rescue Rukia Kuchiki, he becomes one of Ichigo’s most important allies. His zanpakutō, Zabimaru, has a spirit form known as a nue, and its segmented blade can extend, slash and scatter.

Renji serves as lieutenant of the 6th Division under Captain Byakuya Kuchiki, having previously been 6th seat of the 11th Division under Kenpachi Zaraki. His look is unmistakable: brown eyes, long crimson hair tied in a high ponytail and tribal tattoos that grow over the series, starting in his academy days and eventually covering his back, chest and forehead. He often wears distinctive sunglasses and doesn’t wear his lieutenant’s badge. This is his unawakened sword, available from our store at a great price.
