About This Pair

Squall Leonhart is the 17-year-old hero of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VIII and a student at Balamb Garden, the elite academy that trains SeeD mercenaries. His weapon is a gunblade – part gun, part sword – designed by Tetsuya Nomura. In the eighth game gunblades don’t fire projectiles, though later, in XIII, they work as both gun and blade.

The Fusion Sword is the six-part blade Cloud Strife favours in Advent Children, carried in place of the Buster Sword. It can be assembled in different combinations to suit the situation: the main First Sword, a hollow blade forming the front edge, two blades forming the back and two smaller blades fixed to the sides.
